Rolling resistance works to oppose the direction of travel. Reducing this resistance means less fuel is required to power a vehicle, but it can sacrifice braking performance. ECOPIA, however, is a next-generation tyre that reduces rolling resistance without sacrificing braking performance.

CAUTIONS  
Replacing Tyres
  • When replacing tyres, it is advisable to select tyres based on the size, ply rating and maximum load capability of the original tyre.
  • Check rim for any irregularities or damage before assembling.
  • When mounting tyres, fitting the beads and inflating the tyres must always be conducted in the safety cage to protect the tyre filter from explosion.
  • To assure that the tyre is properly mounted, the distance between the rim line and rim flange should be uniform around the circumference of the rim.
Mixing of Tyres
  • The mixed application of different types of tyres on the same axle can adversely affect maneuverability, stability and braking because of differences in the performance characteristics and tyre deformation.
Tyre Storage
  • When storing tyres, avoid direct sunlight, ozone, moisture, petroleum products and extremely high ambient temperatures.
Tyre Inflation Pressure
  • Most tyre double is caused by incorrect inflation pressure. This seriously affects driving performance and tyre life.
  • Adjust pressure when tyre is cool.
  • When returning to highway driving after desert driving at deflated pressure, please re-adjust pressure to normal at the earliest possible opportunity. Avoid running at high speeds at underfield pressure.

As much as half of the resistance for a car in motion comes from the tyres’ rolling resistance. Significant rolling resistance leads to increased fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. So by reducing this resistance, it is possible to drive further on less fuel, with lower CO2 emissions.

Rolling resistance works to oppose the direction of travel. It is often generated by tyre deformation, friction between the tyre and the road, and air resistance. Proven Advantage in Rolling Resistance
ECOPIA EP100A tyres have been proven to offer superior stopping distance when compared with conventional tyres. Two identical cars were rolled off a carrier car in neutral, and the natural stopping distances were measured. The car with ECOPIA EP100A tyres was found to roll approximately 20% further than the car with conventional tyres.

ECOPIA EP100A tyres have been proven to offer high-level braking performance when compared with conventional tyres. Two identical cars were driven at 80km/h, brakes were applied simultaneously, and the stopping distances were measured. The car with ECOPIA EP100A tyres was found to achieve a stopping distance comparable to conventional tyres, even in wet conditions.
